5 Best Electric Skillets
The electric skillet is one of the most useful cooking appliances you can have in your kitchen. They are perfect for cooking small amounts of food or for side dishes when your stove top burners are in use for the main course. They are also much cheaper and easier to clean than using stove top burners.
Sizes range from about 7″ x 7″ pans up to 16″ and larger. We find that anything less than 11″ square will leave you wishing you had one just a bit bigger. The 16″ size models usually are rectangular or oval and measure 16 inches long by about 12 inches wide and up to 3 inches deep.
Prices range from about $20 up to over $150, however we found that models up to $50 performed amazingly well for the price compared to the more expensive brands unless you need to deep-fry foods. We, therefore, primarily focused on the cheaper models and as a result our picks are not suited towards deep-frying.

Presto 06857 16-inch Electric Foldaway Skillet

It is also available at Amazon.

Cuisinart CSK-250WS GreenGourmet 14-Inch Nonstick Electric Skillet
Other features of this Cuisinart model include a max temperature of 450 degrees, 14 inch round pan, and dishwasher safe. Overall it heats up evenly and hotter than some other skillets, but the only downside is the price which is much higher than all the other electric skillets on our list.
8.9
Hamilton Beach 38528R Deep Dish Durathon Ceramic Skillet
It features a 15 x 12 x 3 inch cooking surface which gives you a great cooking capacity and ability to handle deeper dishes. The 38528R’s skillet and lid are dishwasher safe.
One negative is that the whole skillet does not quite heat up evenly with a few hotspots. It also tends to be a bit hotter than the set temperature, so it can take some time to get a feel for.
8.7
Presto 06626 11-inch Electric Skillet
The Presto 06626 electric skillet is a great choice for anyone who wants a small skillet that performs decently for a low price.
8.5
Proctor Silex 38526 Electric Skillet
Overall it works OK for what it is – a cheap electric skillet. Just don’t expect it to do too much or last too long.
